Providing
for Your Pet's Future Without You
Because
pets usually have shorter life spans than their human caregivers, you
may have planned for your animal friend's passing. But what if you are
the one who becomes ill or incapacitated, or who dies first?
As a responsible
pet owner, you provide your pet with food and water, shelter, veterinary
care, and love. To ensure that your beloved pet will continue to receive
this care should something unexpected happen to you, it's critical to
plan ahead.
If you
die or become incapacitated, and with your written permission only,
the SPCA of Central Florida, Inc. can take permanent custody of your
beloved pet; we will bring it to our shelter in Orlando and do our very
best to find the pet a new, loving home.
If you
are interested in this option, please download the following form: "Custody
Release of Family (Pet(s) to the SPCA of Central Florida."
We recommend
that you complete it and keep it in a safe place, but one that can easily
be found in case of emergency. You may also send a copy to the Business
Office of the SPCA for our files (2727 Conroy Road, Orlando 32839).
Plan ahead
now for peace of mind later.
